TYPES OF FEDERAL FINANCIAL AID
Grants
Grants are awarded to students who have exceptional financial need; however, not all applicants are guaranteed to receive them. Grants are gift aid provided by federal and state governments and do not have to be repaid.

Loans
Loans are available to assist with educational expenses and must be repaid.

Work Study
The Federal Work Study (FWS) Program provides part-time on-campus and off-campus employment to students. Eligibility for this program depends on financial need and availability of federal funds.

To apply for federal financial aid, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
